I love this 2017 Trek X-Caliber 9, 29er. My height is 5 11 1/2. I purchase my bike at NYC Bicycle Habitat. They are good professional people. I had ridden my bike one time so far in Central Park. I enjoyed my ride and had received a lot of good compliments on my new bike. I felt so good and probably did about 7 miles easily. My butt was soar and between my legs. I have to purchase some butt padds tights. I will wear them under my shorts.

Comments:
I've ridden my Trek X-Caliber 9 (2016 model) for just over a year now and absolutely enjoy every minute that I'm on it! I spent a several months researching many different mountain bikes and talked with the guys at Bikers Choice in both Hendersonville, TN, and Mt. Juliet, TN, before making my decision. I have a road bike which I have ridden for nearly 15 years and have put many miles on, but this is my first mountain bike. I am 56 years old, and am 6'4" and my X-Caliber 9 is very comfortable to ride. David at Bikers Choice in Hendersonville was very helpful in the process of determining which bike and size would best suit my needs. I went with the 21.5 frame and I have the seat raised to the max recommended height. I ride primarily on the backroads of Middle Tennessee, but I have also had it on several single track trails and it has handled exceptionally well. I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. In fact, I haven't been back on my road bike since getting my X-Caliber!

Comments:
Old guy getting back into again (55). After looking at hybreds, fitness and mountain bikes this puppy fit the bill. Test rode many bikes, many brands and talked with the staff on how I ride the fit was great. At only 5'6" tall the seat post was a little high and could not be lowered because of the accessory attachment bolts took an inch off and now the seat and fit is much improved. The X Caliber 9s'components are great improve over the 8 and well worth the extra $. 100 miles into ownership and I am loving it.
